After becoming an Athletic Trainer-Certified Maura obtained her Masters in Exercise Physiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation. Prior to starting a family, Maura worked for Illinois Sports Medicine, rehabbing athletes and clients in a clinical setting and preventative in the training rooms in the high school setting. 22 years ago, she began working in the personal training arena which has become her passion. She loves working with individuals and instructing classes. In 2004, Maura became certified in Pilates Mat by Body in Balance. Beginning in 2012, Maura began studying with Douglas Heel and received the Be-Activated Certification (Neuromuscular Activation). Maura’s one factor of fitness that will always remain is that “consistency is key.”

Tamara Ortegel considers her wellness practice a labor of love. In 2009, two of her boys were diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. She poured her heart and soul into understanding the root cause of their disease and finding solutions to support their bodies. In addition to taking the prescribed medication, they have utilized an array of holistic modalities with great results. Tamara has a health coaching certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She has participated in hundreds of webinars on wellness, attended retreats in the US and abroad and spoken on the link between skin health and nutrient absorption. She has also done extensive volunteer work with a non-profit called Epidemic Answers which focuses on healing kids with chronic illness. Anne believes every class provides an opportunity for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual transformation and healing, and is truly excited about sharing the healing benefits of yoga with her students. Sara Goggin Young
Sara Goggin Young is a world champion athlete, breaking a swimming record at the Pan Am Masters Championships in 2018 and the current national and state swimming champion in her age group (40-49) for multiple events including the 50-meter backstroke and 200 medley relay. Sara received a Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School in Chicago and subsequently passed the Illinois bar exam. She also holds a B.A in political science and criminal justice from Arizona State University. After overcoming personal challenges, including alcohol and substance abuse, and a painful divorce, Sara focused on a healthy lifestyle that radically changed her body, mind, and soul. Sara is now an entrepreneur in the Health and Wellness industry; coaching and building a legion of like-minded people, who insist on putting their health first and is also a seasoned cycle and barre instructor. Sara strongly believes in three principles for healing the mind, body, and soul: premium nutrition, body movement, and positive mindset. Aziza's journey to healthy living started more than 20 years ago when she was faced with personal health issues. Aziza was introduced to a homeopathic doctor, and was ultimately amazed with the results she received in her care. Last year, her daughter was diagnosed with ADHD. During this time, Aziza came across The Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. The time-spent learning about ADHD and how food impacts our gut and our brain, helped in Aziza's decision to get certified as a health coach. Aziza loves to keep herself active and find that she is happiest when out hiking, traveling and spending time with her family. Aziza is also a voracious reader; getting lost in a good book is an ideal way to replenish and recharge her mind and spirit.
